The European process industry and energy sector are at critical crossroads. While they have played a role in climate change, they also now hold the keys to some of the most impactful solutions. However, they must be given that role. High prices for energy and raw materials present challenges for a future-proof industry. How will – in particular – Northwest Europe put this puzzle together? And will the industry have a license to change?

The European Industry & Energy Summit 2024, on 9th and 10th of december, was dedicated to promoting innovation, technology and actionable plans to drive the transition to a more sustainable and secure future. In doing so, it approaches industrial transformation as systemic change. The focus was on two moderated theme lines on the main stage: Connecting Clusters and Recarb Europe.
