DESCRIPTION:Mist je OT-netwerk een stevige basis? MODELEC start de praktische workshop “Secure OT-netwerkontwerp: maak de juiste keuzes vanaf dag één”. In veel OT-omgevingen ziet MODELEC dat vroege ontwerpbeslissingen downtime veroorzaken of budget overschrijden. Een slecht beveiligd OT-netwerk leidt tot storingen door cyberaanvallen\, dataverlies en forse kosten. \nBouw zelf je netwerk en test keuzes direct. \nDeelnemers maken vanaf het ontwerp slimme afwegingen voor veiligheid en efficiëntie. Zo voorkom je kwetsbaarheden die later duur uitpakken. In de sessie bouw je zelf een OT-netwerk en ervaar je wat beslissingen over managed vs. unmanaged switches\, VLAN’s of redundantie betekenen voor stabiliteit en budget. Je leert ook financiële argumenten om keuzes te onderbouwen bij management. \nKleine groepen \nMaximaal acht deelnemers per sessie: ruimte voor je vragen\, praktijkcases en discussie. Na afloop heb je concrete handvatten om direct een betrouwbaar Secure OT-netwerk te ontwerpen dat binnen budget past en voldoet aan eisen. DESCRIPTION:This practical training is for engineers and technicians that are responsible for the design and maintenance of industrial network communication systems. Exercises are an important part of this training. \nExplanation\nThe role of communications in industrial automation systems has changed in recent decades from a minor role to a key role. This change makes industrial automation dependent on these communications. And this means new requirements\, such as; availability\, scalability and maintenance. New demands can lead to new and different types of technologies. \nA consequence of the increasing role of communications is that some industrial automation systems use unsecured protocols. This increases the risk of a cyber-attack. This increases the need for cybersecurity\, which is why the cybersecurity requirement was created. \nEngineers and technicians responsible for industrial automation systems need a better understanding of network communications as a result.
